Farewell Grandpa

Kerry's grandpa who was 96 years old passed away this last Sunday. He had been in the hospital for about 2 weeks and it was evident that his time here on this earth was coming to an end. Grandpa had lived an extremely healthy and active life. It was only until about 2 years ago that he and his wife weren't able to live alone in their home and needed to be watched a little more carefully. We feel blessed to have been able to visit with him in the hospital about 1 week before he passed away. Kerry and I both felt that was our time to say goodbye and to let him know how much we love him. We are comforted with the knowledge that families are forever, even after this life, and that we will be able to see him again. His funeral services are going to be held this weekend where we'll be able to gather with several family members to celebrate his life. He is survived by his wife and sweetheart of 70 years, 7 children, 38 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is loved dearly by so many and will be greatly missed. We love you Grandpa!
